Suject G-FAIR KOREA where both SB enterprises and attendees laughed together!

○ It achieved U$850 million export talks and ₩88.6 billion sales talks.
○ 540 overseas buyers from 46 countries and 360 domestic purchase officials participated in the fair.
○ The largest fair for small and medium enterprises in the country....about 72,000 attendees visited the fair. 

 

The ‘2014 G-FAIR KOREA’, which was the largest marketplace for small and medium enterprises to grasp from business start-up to global business at a glance, was successfully closed after 4 days' big run.

The ‘2014 G-FAIR KOREA’, which marks the 17th anniversary this year, was hosted by Gyeonggi-do and the Small & Medium Business Centers Association of Korea, and sponsored by Gyeonggi Small and Medium Business Center (hereinafter called "GSBC") at the 1st exhibition center of the Goyang KINTEX for 4 days from the 1st inst, and total 836 companies participated in the fair. About 900 domestic and foreign buyers plus 72,000 attendees visited the fair and it afforded great satisfaction to all the participating companies and attendees.

At the fair, participating companies conducted 1:1 export·purchase business talks with domestic and foreign buyers; the fair helped participating companies to explore sales market through achievement of about U$850 million export talks and ₩88.6 billion sales talks; it successfully provided fruitful business opportunities to small and medium enterprises with various seminars and education.

The export·purchase business talks were to officially conducted for 2 days on the 1st of opening day and the 2nd, but talks were also held on the 3rd and the 4th because buyers were greatly interested in products of participating companies.   

540 overseas buyers from 46 countries participated in the export·purchase business talks, which was the largest size ever; especially, percentage of buyers from Russia·CIS and ASEAN was expanded, which revealed G-FAIR KOREA secured its position as a more international and representative exhibition for small and medium enterprises.

In addition, Gyeonggi Business Center (GBC), an oversea trade office operated by Gyeonggi-do and GSBC, invited over 300 buyers with high purchase intention through its branch offices and played it's important role. Besides, it contacted many overseas buyers through network of the KOTRA's overseas trade center and the World Federation of Overseas Korean Traders Associations (OKTA) so that a lot of companies are about to export goods.

Jowoo Tech Co., Ltd. in Seongnam-si, a manufacturer of non-breaking multi-contact relay connector, is expected to have another business talk to create over U$2 million transaction a year with Indian K company which it had met at G-FAIR KOREA last year. The Indian K company watched products of Jowoo Tech Co., Ltd. carefully at the last year's exhibition and decided to participated again in the fair through Mumbai GBC knowing that Jowoo Tech Co., Ltd. would also attend this fair. It is said that the K company is engaged in a large construction business in India and it plans to use products of Jowoo Tech Co., Ltd. for a construction project under promotion.

Chorus Korea in Yongin-si, a manufacturer of cell phone LCD protective films, conducted a detailed business talks over U$500,000 contract within this year with B company which distributes cell phone accessories in Malaysia. Cell phone supply rate in Malaysia is 93.9% showing considerably high national per capita rate and it is expected over U$1 million export a year can be achieved in the future.

Svetlana Zvereva, a Russian buyer who visited through Moscow GBC, said that "Korean products are not only good in quality but also good in design and therefore, I visit Korea wherever G-FAIR KOREA is held" and added that "I concluded contracts with 10 companies at the fair last year and I believe to have good transactions through further meetings because there are remarkable goods including LED products and feminine product."

Also, 360 people from domestic manufacturers and large distribution companies, and purchase officials from public agencies participated in the business talks.

Participants are 150 companies including following ones; ▲ online shopping such as Interpark, G-market, and Auction; ▲ home-shopping such as Lotte Home-shopping, Home & Shopping, and NS Home-shopping; ▲ chain stores such as E-Mart, Lotte Mart, E-land Retail, Korea Agricultural Cooperative, and Daiso; ▲ public institutions such as Korea Labor Welfare Corporation, and Korea Postal Service Agency; ▲ large companies such as Doosan E&C, Philips, Samsung SDI, Samsung Display, LG Uplus, and KT-Commerce.  

Subin Home Art Co., LTd. in Gyeongsangnam-do, a manufacturer of drying racks for washing, conducted business talk with the chain store L company and it is in the process of promoting ₩600 billion transaction because the drying racks have a merit that a person can hang out the wash without bending one's waist forward and grates can be attached and detached.     

Dobi Computing Co. Ltd. in Yongin-si, a manufacturer of A/C all-in-one server rack, conducted business talk with a large manufacturing company K and it is expected to conclude a contract of ₩150 million because technology of Dobi Computing Co., Ltd. retaining 2 rack-related patents was acknowledged.

Gwak Juhee of Lotte Mart said that "existing business talk for purchase was passive one that a small and medium enterprise directly visits the purchaser to have a business talk but G-FAIR KOREA was a great help because purchase staff could personally get around to watch various products and to discover useful goods" and added that "I hope there will be good transactions with companies who had business talks with us through further meetings."

Also, the fair provided not only business chances but also many attractions to ordinary attendees so that it was well received by participants.

Performances such as K-POP dancing, B-Boy, magic, and fusion Kukak which families could enjoy continued throughout event period, and products provided participating companies were given to attendees on the site through an event and therefore, many visitors came to see the event by the last day. 

Mr. Nam, Hyunwoo(38), who visited the fair on the last day, said that "I am preparing business start-up and I come here for bench-marking" and expressed satisfaction saying that "I was happy to watch many challenging and creative products which large companies cannot make, and it seems good for children to see such idea products for their education."
